Digital and Installation Client: Perot Museum
Experience “one of the greatest fossil discoveries of the past half-century” as described by National Geographic in the new Origins exhibit at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Two new species of ancient human relatives, Australopithecus sediba and Homo naledi made worldwide headlines and provided game-changing insights into the origins of humanity. Groove Jones worked with the Perot Museum team on a variety of components for the exhibit, including an interactive AR (Augmented Reality) hands-on experience that allows visitors to dig for fossils as if you were on location in South Africa as well as lighting and animated graphics packages being projected on walls at the exhibit.

Digital and Installation Client: Toyota North America
Multinational automotive manufacturer Toyota just opened its first visitor attraction in North America at its headquarters in Plano Texas. The 44,000sq ft (13,400sq m) Toyota Experience Center (TEC) is Toyota’s first and only comprehensive museum space in North America. The TEC exists to educate its visitors about Toyota’s past, present and future as a mobility company. The museum features a variety of interactive exhibits and displays, all designed to reflect on the people behind the Toyota brand. Groove Jones created the Augmented Reality experience highlighting the LARK technology. The technology demonstrates how Augmented Reality can help with the education and training of Toyota team members to understand the features in a vehicle. The App is the future of digital user manuals for vehicles.

Digital and Installation Client: FX Networks
Comic-con San Diego is the largest convention of its kind in the world with nearly 400,000 people in attendance. FX Networks’ goal with its “American Horror Story” activation at San Diego Comic-Con was to scare and excite the series’ fans without revealing spoilers of the upcoming season. What materialized was a mysterious, sneak peek of what was to come, fueled by an augmented reality-enabled tour of the “American Horror Story Eccentricities Collection.”

Celebrate Dia de Los Muertos this year with Modelo and augmented reality! Dia de Los Muertos is a celebration of life that honors the dead in Mexican culture. Groove Jones worked with the Constellation Brands Beer Division Southeast team to create a unique OOH and point of sale campaign that brings the Modelo art pieces to life through the power of AR. All you need is your phone to activate the experience.
The AR experience depicts traditional Dia de Los Muertos imagery with marigolds, an offrenda, candles, and a beautiful Katrina holding an ice-cold Modelo Especial.
