Client: Corona Extra and University of Texas Austin
Corona did it again and produced a limited-edition sneaker release. The Corona team worked with sneaker designer Jake Danklefs, to create 12 custom pairs of shoes that incorporate branding elements from both Corona and the Texas Longhorns. These were made to celebrate the partnership between the two organizations! Groove Jones was brought on board to create a web-based AR portal experience that allowed sneakerheads and college fans the chance to win a pair of custom sneakers. Upon entering the site, fans will be transported to the Corona beach where they must find the shoebox containing the sneakers. Find the box and you’ll be prompted to enter.

Client: Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks partnered up with Kristaps Porzingis to launch #KrisStops, a new community initiative to fight childhood hunger. With every block that season, Porzingis donated $500 to the Mavs Foundation, which will then be distributed to local organizations to help stop hunger in North Texas. Groove Jones worked the Dallas Mavericks to launch the program through an Augmented Reality experience running with an oversized wall scape mural downtown Dallas. This gamified campaign won a 2021 Sports Clio!

AT&T and Wasserman hired Groove Jones to create a memorable and socially shareable AR 5G enabled experience for the 2020 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The fan experience is promoting 5G with entertaining and personalized AR content. Golf fans would stand next to a podium and pose with an animated naughty gopher who just bored his way towards them.

Client: Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks commemorated the retirement of the legendary Dirk Nowitzki on April 9, 2019, by releasing four unique augmented reality experiences at Dirk’s last home game at the American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas. Groove Jones was asked to take part in this huge event in Dallas sports history, making it the 3rd AR campaign with the Dallas Mavs in 2020. Over 10,000 fans activated the ticket at Dirk’s final game.

Client: Callaway Golf
Callaway Golf used A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Learning to create the new MAVRIK line of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons. This tech-influenced approach to a clubhead design and prototyping inspired the marketing team to tap into the power of AR (Augmented Reality) to demonstrate the new features and designs of the MAVRIK line. the program launched in 400 stores.

Client: Western Union and the Denver Nuggets
Western Union wanted to highlight their partnership with the Denver Nuggets this season through an interactive AR (augmented reality) mural experience installation at the Pepsi Center. Groove Jones was tapped to bring the mural to life.
The AR experience is part of a fan engagement campaign that takes place on-site.

Not Just Sports Teams are in the Game
Groove Jones worked with the Constellation Brands Beer Division Southeast team to create a unique OOH and point of sale campaign that brings the Modelo art pieces to life through the power of AR. All you need is your phone to activate the experience.
The AR experience depicts traditional Dia de Los Muertos imagery with marigolds, an offrenda, candles, and a beautiful Katrina holding an ice-cold Modelo Especial. the program increased sales by 16%.

Client: Conagra Foods – Slim Jim @ Comic-con
The legend of the Randy “Macho Man” Savage continues. Mattel, WWE, and Conagra are celebrating Savage’s time as a spokesperson for the Slim Jim brand and their memorable television commercials with a new action figure that is being released at Comic-con San Diego. Groove Jones created a Snap Lens for fans to turn themselves into the “Macho Man” for a chance to win prizes.
