We recently had the opportunity to work with American Airlines on developing an AR-enabled App using some of the new features available with Apple’s ARKit and Google’s ARCore. Groove Jones developed the AR in collaboration with American Airlines and Locus Labs.

Mobile App Client: Customized Communications

Customized Communications, Inc. (CCI) is a passionate educational company that provides a more accurate way to engage patients in health education. With their educational materials in print and digital formats, Customized enhances the way medical staff communicates with their patients. Groove Jones created an AR App that works with their new informational book about being a new mother of a baby in the ICU. The CCI Scan + Play app is free to download and accompanies the book given to these new mothers at participating hospitals.

PC Touch Screen App Client: Perot Museum of Science and Nature

We created the World of Circuits music station at the Museum. This is a touch screen installation that allows guests to drag and drop digital circuits to power on tracks in order to create musical effects. Additionally, users can drag a variety of effect nodes like – Envelope, Distortion, Flange, Param EQ, and Pitch Shift, into the circuit to affect the waveform of the music track.

PC Touch Screen App Client: Perot Museum of Science and Nature

Another installation for the World of Circuits section of the museum allows guests to create unique sand art using a touch screen station. Groove Jones created a digital interface where guests can select line length, angle, and rotation and a mechanical arm will create geometrical art in sand based on these selections. At the touchscreen, a user drops the nodes in succession to begin their design.

AT&T and the PGA TOUR are making it possible for golf fans to get closer to the action at the famous California course for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this year. Groove Jones was asked to create an interactive golf club swing experience.
